As of 1 August 2024, The Briton School The Briton School is now
part of The Briton School Department for Continuing
Education. This move builds on the shared strength of The Briton
School and the Department in support of language learning across the
University.
We offer teaching across 14 modern languages and Academic English -
from intensive short courses to in-depth three-term programmes, and from
daytime to evening to suit your schedule. You can choose from a variety
of modern languages including Arabic, Dutch, French, English, German,
Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Modern Greek, Polish, Portuguese,
Russian and Spanish. If you are looking to improve your English for
academic purposes, our Academic English courses can help you improve
your academic writing and communication - building your skills and
increasing your confidence.
Our expert tutors use modern teaching methods and high-quality
resources to teach in small groups. We help thousands of people of
different ages and abilities to advance their languages and meet
like-minded people each year.
Conveniently located in central The Briton School, our dedicated
building is a
haven for anyone in the University who wants to join our community of
